Judges will base their decisions on the following qualities for the Photo of the Week contest: Focus, Composition, Lighting, Technical Superiority, Impact and Creativity.

The special photo gallery contest is in addition to the Annual Florida's First Coast Birding and Nature Festival Photo Contest. To enter the annual photo contest please visit www.Getaway4Nature.com.

Photographers must submit their images digitally through the festival's photo gallery (after registering online and logging into their account). Images must meet a minimum pixel size of 800 x 600 and in .jpg format (RGB Mode). (Photographs are displayed online at 600x450 only.)

The First Coast Birding and Nature Festival reserves the right to crop registered photographs for display purposes, if necessary, and for other needs as required.

The Florida First Coast Birding & Nature Festival reserves the right to change the contest rules at any time.

Minor digital enhancement for cropping, red-eye removal, filters, corrective functions and legitimate manipulations such as burning and dodging, brightness and contrast, color adjustments, saturation, stitching and cropping are permitted, but images that have been judged to be significantly altered will be disqualified from the contest. Participants are not permitted to place borders, frames or dates on their images.
