A growing online community since 2004, MyParkPhotos participants consist of a wide range of people including beginning and professional photographers, outdoor enthusiasts, and employees of parks and other public lands. The California State Parks Foundation purchased MyParkPhotos in 2009 and continues to not only make improvements to the site, but grow the number of participants.

We encourage everyone to get out and explore the natural diversity, beauty, and cultural heritage of public lands across the U.S. and internationally. Then, participants share their photographs--wildlife, wildflowers, landscapes, buildings, people, and much more—with the MPP community, enter our free contest, and enjoy images from other participants!

We also offer Partner Galleries [or Partner Contests] using the MyParkPhotos platform for more specific photo contests in a given state or community. The Partner Contests are a fantastic method to engage a wide variety of photo enthusiasts in a given area or issue.
