MPP August 2009 POTM Winner

Please excuse the announcement delay. We have done two things that have taken a little time. 1. We’ve reorganized the panel of judges who are helping us (all photographers), and 2. Starting with September, we are going to reinstitute POTM by categories, with an overall POTM winner. We are also looking at the existing categories to make sure they are all functional and used by community members.
September winners will be announced soon!

MPP 2008/2009 Picture of the Year

Congratulations to Carol Fowler for winning MyParkPhotos’ POTY with her Bass Harbor Lighthouse photograph! (Carol’s image was also last month’s POTM). The MPP judging panel would like to applaud not only Carol, but all the POTM winners, and all MPP contestants. The judges are truly impressed with the quality of images throughout the site.
August 1 kicked off our 2009/2010 contest, and you are already submitting impressive images. Keep them coming!
Thanks to everyone, get out there and visit our public lands, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

MPP July 2009 POTM Winner

Congratulations to Carol Fowler for winning MyParkPhotos’ July POTM with her Bass Harbor Lighthouse photograph! Fantastic entries this past month.
Quick Reminder: Contestants can still upload an unlimited number of photographs, however, as of August 1, you will be able to enter 3 photographs per day into the contest. We hope this new system will be easier to understand and help improve the site.
Once again, thanks to all of you for making MyParkPhotos such a vibrant and exciting website. Keep the images coming, and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

MPP June 2009 POTM and Member Update

We’d like to also take this opportunity to remind everyone—new and longtime members—that participation in MPP’s photo contest is completely free. Anyone and everyone can vote on images and submit comments. Please do so freely.
After this year’s contest is over on July 31, and a Best Picture of the Year is chosen, Members will still be able to upload an unlimited number of photographs, however, instead of a point-based system, you will be able to enter 3 photographs per day into the contest. We hope this new system will be easier to understand and help improve the site.
Also know that we will be improving the usability of the MPP website over time, including “how to” tips, and more FAQs.
Thanks again to all of you for making MyParkPhotos such a vibrant and exciting website. Keep the images coming, and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
