At least three kinds of pitcher plants grow in this bog in the Apalachicola National Forest. The Rosy Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia rosea) is short, three to four inches tall and holds water in its pitchers! Bugs are attracted to the water, fall in and the carnivorous plant eats them!!
