Sandwich Tern with a nice snack :-)
Hi All,
I'm a Geology and Earth Science Professor at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Fl, though I went to college in Texas and received my M.S. in Geology from Southern Methodist University. My area of specialization is vertebrate paleonotology and while I was working in Texas, I discovered and named a new species of fossil crocodilian, which was published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
I've been an enthusiastic nature photographer since high school, and have been really been working to develop my craft since moving to Florida several years ago. I'm very lucky to now live in Central Florida, bird and nature photography heaven! These days I'm also offering a nature photography class each Spring at Valencia and lead bird photography workshops once or twice a year as well. Contact me anytime if you're interested in learning more about my workshops. If you're interested in seeing some of my bird photography from other areas of Florida outside of the Parks, please visit: www.pbase.com/paleojack
Cheers, Jack
