I love being outdoors and nature photography just seemed like a natural extension. I live in central FL so the majority of my pictures are from Florida state parks or the Everglades. I am strongly interested in conservation and would love to work with groups working toward this goal.

Lake Kissimmee State Park almost never disappoints. On my most recent trip I saw 5 bald eagles, wood stork, fox squirrel, turkey, red shouldered hawk, gopher tortoise, alligator, phoebe, and an eastern glass lizard.
On this single day on Joe Overstreet and Three Lakes I saw a coyote, 10 deer, 10 Bald Eagles, a Peregrine Falcon, 4 Whooping cranes, fox squirrels, meadowlark, bluebird, robins, sandhill cranes and tons of tiny sparrows that I can't yet identify.
Fort Desoto is one of the prime shorebird photography sites in the US. Also a frequent stop over for migrating songbirds. Beautiful and usually peaceful beaches also.
These are most easily found at the Gumbo limbo trail near Anhinhga trail. This trail gets you away from the crowds and treats you to some different sites.
Fort Jefferson is well worth a visit for anyone visiting Key West. I spent two nights camping on the island. The sunsets over the Loggerhead Key lighthouse were spectacular.
Three Lakes WMA is a great place to see sandhill cranes along with bald eagles, crested caracaras and many other birds including the highly endangered whooping cranes.
