Wakatobi is a mecca for both divers and snorkelers. Its pristine waters are home to an amazing variety of colorful and diverse marine life.<br>It's a little hard to get to, but well worth the effort!
It's been several years since I've had the opportunity to visit Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, but luckily I had chance to go last Monday. I knew this was a great park to visit and I really looked forward to going, but what I didn't know is they've made many recent improvements in their wildlife walk. I was delighted to have the chance to see a large variety of Florida wildlife, including a panther, bobcat, black bear, foxes, and many, many types of birds. Of course the park still serves as a refuge for many graceful manatees too. I enjoyed my visit to the park immensely and it seemed like there were photo ops at every turn! I definitely plan to return here soon! :-)
Pennekamp Coral Marine Park offers some of the most beautiful underwater scenery to be found anywhere in the world! You don't have to be a certified diver to enjoy the park,,,there are many shallow areas where you can snorkel which is fun and easy to do!
Everglades National Park is a wildlife photographers heaven and an interesting place for non-photographers too!
On any given day, you can spot many water fowl, alligators, hawks, ospray, deer, and many macro subjects too!
I can't believe that I've been living in FL for 40+ years and this was my first time visiting Ft. DeSoto State Park! The beach area of this park is among the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen.
The photo ops abound here. At east beach there are opportunities for capturing beautiful sunrise shots over Tampa Bay with a variety of birds in the foreground. At the north beach area there are also a great variety of birds with the gulf in the background and the a.m. sun at your back.
I haven't had the chance to view a sunset here, but this would be the ideal location. This may have been my first trip to this park, but it won't be my last!
